Zero-tolerance for fraud

Any account found committing fraud is permanently banned — no second chances. Confirmed fraud is reported to Ethiopian authorities. Affected buyers receive a full refund within 24 hours.

Fayda ID verification

Every seller verifies through Ethiopia's national Fayda digital ID. Their verified badge, completed deal count, and buyer ratings are publicly visible — so you know exactly who you're dealing with before you commit.

24/7 dispute resolution

Buyers: open a dispute within 72 hours of delivery if something's wrong — we investigate and refund within 24 hours. Sellers: once a buyer confirms, payment is yours — no chargebacks, no reversals. Our team is in Amharic and English, every day.

Requests to pay outside the app
Legitimate sellers never need you to pay via bank transfer or Telebirr directly. All payments go through Bilu escrow.
Prices that seem too good to be true
A brand-new iPhone for 5,000 ETB is a red flag. Compare prices with similar listings before buying.
Pressure to confirm before receiving
Never approve a release before you've inspected the item. Take your time — escrow gives you that right.
Requests for personal information
Bilu Store will never ask for your password, PIN, or national ID number via chat or email.
Generic or stolen listing photos
Do a reverse image search on listing photos. If results show the image from other websites, be cautious.
